Planning Resources

The University spends considerable effort in the overall planning of the physical campus and infrastructure. These planning resources are critical to understanding the intent of the design guidelines and serve as reference for decision making throughout the design process.

Institutional Master Plan (2023)

In 2013, the Corporation of Brown University adopted the Handbook for Physical Planning, a document that, alongside subsequent area master planning studies and Brown’s Institutional Master Plan, serves as the foundation for Brown’s physical campus development.
