Quality Assurance / Quality Control Program (QAQC)

Here at Facilities & Campus Operations (FCO), we are committed to preserving and enhancing our workmanship and the condition and appearance of the campus. 

Quality assurance and quality control in facilities management is a comprehensive and proactive approach that ensures all services meet specific standards of excellence. It is a crucial element in maintaining high levels of service delivery, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Facilities & Campus Operations achieves this through regular quality assurance checks, which focus on the following areas:

  • Facilities Inspections
  • Building Cleanliness
  • Grounds Maintenance

Currently, we employ a combination of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) methods to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers.

These Methods Include:

Planon QAQC

Standardized Planon FM Quality Assurance Questionnaire work orders

  • Each month, a random sample of work orders from each divisional trade is reviewed for nonconformance issues.
  • Examples of nonconformance work order findings can consist of any of the following:
    • Work Process
    • Work Quality
    • Quality Process

Smart Inspect - Custodial Quality Inspection Software

  • Smart Inspect helps track and measure the quality of cleaning and maintenance efforts.
  • By tracking and analyzing inspections, Smart Inspect helps improve the quality of cleaning and maintenance.

QA Scorecards

  • Our scale-rated scoring system is an evaluation tool used by Division 5 - Grounds to consistently and measurably assess the appearance, maintenance, and quality of the Browns campus grounds across 13 zones. This system transforms subjective quality judgments into objective, quantifiable data.
