Facilities and Campus Operations

Ana Ureña is the Human Resources Manager for Brown University's Facilities & Campus Operations division. She partners with leaders across the University to support workforce strategy, labor relations, employee engagement, organizational development, and HR operations for a complex, 24/7 workforce. Ana enjoys building practical systems that improve consistency, strengthen collaboration, and help leaders make thoughtful, data-informed decisions. Her recent work has focused on developing scalable HR frameworks, streamlining labor relations processes, and advancing operational excellence across multiple departments.

Before joining Brown, Ana held executive human resources leadership roles in municipal government, education, healthcare, and federal contracting. She earned her Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law and her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with concentrations in Organizational Development & Leadership and Behavioral Sciences from Nova Southeastern University. Ana is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and is passionate about fostering collaborative workplaces where employees and organizations can succeed together.
